The skins arrive in their raw state, are salted, then stored in salt or fresh in refrigerated trucks to prevent deterioration. Once they have arrived and have been unloaded, they are assessed by experts. The inspection allows us to guarantee the conformity of the goods in terms of weight and state of preservation of the hides both with regards to salted and fresh hides.

After the quality control phase of the raw hides, they are placed in drums where they are calcined. The skins in lime are defleshed and split into a particular thickness and are then put back into the drums in order to transform them into Wet Blue or Wet White skins.
The skins in full thickness are calcined and then defleshed but not split.
Once tanned, the skins are pressed to reduce the quantity of water absorbed and ensure their resilience.
